For over 50 years Barker Bus Company has been transporting children to and from school and school related activities. Originally known as Roy Barker Co. and located in Pluckemin, N.J., it operated a fleet of approximately 15 vehicles and serviced schools only in Somerset County. Today, Barker Bus Company has grown to a fleet of 160 school vehicles and provides service to school districts in Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Union and Essex Counties.

Now located on Route 22 East in Bridgewater, N.J., our facility encompasses a 10,000 square foot office area, 12 bay repair garage staffed by qualified mechanics as well as a computerized state of the art fueling system. We also provide comprehensive driver training and safety programs in a classroom setting in our C.D.L. Department.

Barker Bus Company is responsible for providing prompt and dependable transportation to 20,000 to 25,000 children per day. With a satellite operation located in the Millburn and Summit areas we can accomplish this service with maximum efficiency. In addition to daily school routes, Barker Bus Company also provides shuttle service for school athletic and field trips, summer camps and corporate shuttles. A partial list of our clients include Millburn Township, Hillsborough Township, Edison Township, Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, Bedminster Township Board Of Education, Middlesex County Educational Services Commission, Somerset County Educational Services Commission, Hunterdon Care Center, Camp Cromwell, Rolling Hills Girl Scouts, the New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, and the Somerset County 4-H Fair.
